And every year, they are joined by millions of people in Africa who are buying industrially manufactured consumer goods for sometimes the first time.

South African has the largest packaging and processing sector, with several South African companies having operations throughout Africa.

The African continent is becoming a high growth region for the packaging industry, with demand being driven by increased markets for consumer products, burgeoning individual incomes, an expanding population of youthful consumers and growing domestic economies-particularly those in East and West Africa were sustainable growth rates of at least 8% per annum are expected.
